It was a lovely day to get together with my amigas and explore the town of Palma together. Mallorca is a beautiful place and has an "old town" where it is surrounded by wall because the water line used to come far in land many many years ago.
Alicia came into town for the day, so we took the opportunity to have some fun together and this is how our day went....
We first went down to the Mediteranean Sea and walked along the beach.
Then we got on the bus and rode into the town and walked over to the big wall.
A little side note: while we were on the bus about a foot away from me a group of kids started to fight. I pretty much ended up on Lindsey's lap next to the window. It was pretty freaky.
We laughed, talked and took pictures of many things.
We loved the buildings and colors every street we walked down.
We loved little back street and the balcony's.
We stopped at a little resteraunt and ate Topas.
Now that we werent hungry anymore, we continued our journey on to the catherdrial.
The view was very pretty, so we decided to sit and enjoyed the beautiful view for a while.
And of course we couldn't end our night without gelato, so we stopped and got some yummy gelato before we all departed ways.
Lindsey and I arrived at the bus stop at 10:45pm thinking that a bus will be there any minute. Unknown to our knowledge there wasnt going to be a bus 46 for the rest of the night. At about midnight lindsey and i just decided to get on another bus that would take us half way, but we still had to hike up the hill to where our houses where. We ended up doing that and arrived a little while after midnight. We were just glad to get home on our own because we didnt want to end up calling someone again.
I hope that is our last night that we will struggle with the bus system here in Mallorca.
Adios.
So it looks like you are the official blogger now--I am so glad, even if it is hard to not be a little jealous. It looks like a beautiful place, with beautiful girls visiting. The cathedral is amazing, that was one of my favorite things about Europe--I came home and bought a coffee table book of Cathedrals in Europe. I would think if two bus glitches are all you have had on the other side of the world then you are doing great. Looks like you get plenty of time to do your own thing there-that is great. So how is the Spanish going? Please keep posting and know you have a fan base here!
ReplyDeleteMmm, gelato in Spain. That's got to be the best.
